Fieldnote

the    girl   in    the   field    is   bluing    her   mouth    with
blackberries.  she  performs  small  bites  for  her  hand
mirror.    when    soon    how    soon   the   brambles   are
coming   through   the  gate.   the   lechers    are   coming
through  the  gate.  they  say what a birding dog  what a
berm &  swale  what a slip of a thing.  what  could  wash
down moonshine.

she  trades  her  corn  silk  hairs  for  hawthorns.  makes
out of the wilded pasture.
