Nate Marshall

1st love song to the black girl at smart camp

you are all
the white
girls’ cute
in just you.

your color,
1 lovely freckle,
unending, unerring,
the right brown.

even before i saw you
every kid on campus
sung your song
to me: she is your

type, your kind
of girl, you like
it like how
she is
.
